Helped me learn PHP quickly for doing some web page work. Easy to read and follow.

I have just finished using this book for an Intro to PHP course at my local college and while I have taken classes in other languages I knew nothing of PHP before opening this book. It has proven to be a very good text and I am now in a position to produce rudimentary, database interacting programs.

I was/am a beginning php coder and an older guy, I bought several php books before this one and had a hard time with them. It wasn't until I backed up a little and bought Ullman's PHP 3rd edition that I could start.
